Strategy consultant

The banking industry is transforming quickly and so is Danske Bank. We're seeking a Strategy Consultant to drive strategic initiatives across the Nordics, contributing to the direction of one of the region's leading banks. Sounds interesting? Then keep on reading! 

As part of the strategy team in Business Customers you will drive and be part of delivering strategic initiatives that stretch across all Nordic countries. You will primarily report to senior management within the bank’s Business Customers unit, a unit that covers +200 000 small and mid-sized corporates across market areas. 

Complex problem-solving with many points of contacts  

As a Strategy Consultant, you will work on solving complex problems, support decision-makers with data-driven recommendations and become a trusted advisor for key stakeholders. You will get to know large parts of the organisation while working closely with senior leadership. It is a role that requires the ability to balance a holistic view with attention to detail.  

You will lead initiatives and take on business critical responsibilities. You can expect to leverage your project management, collaboration, relationship building, and communication skills, and even if most of the work is structured around teamwork, you should also thrive when working individually and be keen on taking own initiatives.  

Skills in engaging with stakeholders and a collaborative spirit

You have solid problem-solving skills as well as project management skills and the ability to run multiple initiatives in parallel, while maintaining quality of deliverables and meeting tight deadlines. We also see that you can create compelling presentations based on story-boarding methods, as well as strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills. Clear communication and interpersonal skills are important, and you are comfortable working in an international environment. 

It is important that you have a positive and curious mindset and like to explore new ideas with a constructive attitude. 

You have: 

• 1-2 years of experience from management consulting, corporate strategy or similar with proficiency in delivering complex projects and/or business transformation
• An interest in developing a solid strategy toolbox (incl. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills)
• A university degree with strong academic record - Master of Science/Business Administration or equivalent
• High level of proficiency in English as a prerequisite, Nordic languages is a merit
• Experience from working in the financial services industry is a merit
