    Job Description

    •Provide advice and assistance on facilities needs assessments, design finalization and construction project management for existing facility maintenance and renovations.
    •Provide advice in planning, organizing and implementing preventative maintenance programs to provide efficient, effective and safe work environments in facilities.
    •Participate as a member of project teams.
    •Assist in project management roles for small to medium sized capital projects, assisting in the development of schedules, preparing plans and specifications, monitoring activities and ensuring Public Health Agency of Canada and Health Canada standards are followed.
    •Assist senior management in capital planning and identification of short and long term needs.
    •Participate in the inspection of facilities and preparation of facility inspection reports.

     

    Job Requirements

    •Prepare facility specific profiles and perform facility conditions assessments and reporting on a regular basis.
    •Prepare and edit working drawings and drafts using computer-aided drawings (CAD), draft specifications and statements of work for minor construction and renovation projects, advice on tendering procedures, provide oversight/feedback, and maintenance requirements.
    •Provide emergency response as directed to facilities and assistance to staff when emergency situations arise.
