The STEPS Environment Specialist has the primary responsibility of evaluating chemical fume hoods and other local exhaust ventilation controls utilized within the laboratories.
Readings will be taken then work orders submitted if out of range for specifications. Performs Indoor Air Quality requests by request. Maintains industrial hygiene equipment by performing monthly/annual calibration and tracks equipment maintenance needs. Maintains all databases associated with these tasks to demonstrate regulatory compliance.
