Lecturer will undertake curriculum development and delivery of diploma-related modules as well as be involved in applied science-based research projects. Candidates should possess relevant work or research experience in the areas of environmental monitoring and management, environmental impact assessments and sustainable development.
Relevant qualification in the discipline of Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering or Sustainability.
Preferably a registered workplace safety and health officer with Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
Possess at least 5 years of relevant industry and/or research experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Implementing and/or auditing ISO 14001 or equivalent environmental management systems
• Conducting environmental assessments such as environmental impact assessment, life cycle assessment and ecological risk assessment.
• Water and air quality, environmental sustainability, and/or marine and terrestrial ecology
• Sustainability reporting in accordance to Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards or the equivalent
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with people at all levels
Strong industry links and exposure, with experience in related sectors is an advantage
Sound planning and organizing skills, practical and responsible - Proficient IT skills. Experience with any environmental modelling software will be advantageous
Deliver planned curriculum to adult learners on weekday evenings and on scheduled weekends and participate in assessment activities
