Supervises a team providing skilled mechanical maintenance, repair and modification of heavy duty, medium duty and light duty vehicles and on and off road equipment along with small marine engines and specialized light duty equipment.
Mechanics for the Highway Operations Unit are an integral part to our daily operations. Individuals will service, inspect and repair various pieces of on-road equipment within the fleet; the vast majority of these being heavy duty equipment including: tandem-axle dump trucks, wheel loaders and graders.
Drives and operates a variety of equipment including vacuum truck, front end loader, excavator, bobcat, water truck. Operates a pressure washer. Maintains trucks and equipment.
Support the development of national seismic hazard models and earthquake hazard provisions. Organize and maintain seismic hazard models and results. Perform seismic hazard calculations using existing tools and software. Contribute to the development of new tools and scripts.
